OK, back from my vacation. I went to Suttle Lake in Oregon's Central Cascade Range. It is a beautiful lake in the Deschutes National Forest with a great campground (Blue Bay) and lots of things to do. I went mountain biking, hike Black Butte, went kayaking on the lake, visited the town of Sisters, walked around Smith Rock and just sat around the camp and relaxed. It was a ton of fun. If anyone is reading this, it isn't showing (on my
free counter at least). But, since I started, and I kind of like writing it, here goes another.
Things I like right now:

Portland IndyMedia
-Portland's Hathorne District (the Street Fair ROCKED)
-Trees
Things I don't like so much (or at all):
-My first day back at work
-Bush's "Forest Policy" (Cutting the trees for the forest, throwing out the baby with the bath water, cutting off your nose despite your face)
-The Portland Police Departments actions during the August 22 protests
Hmmm . . . is once a week often enough when no one reads your blog? I think so!
